Songwriter and art director in 2022 Mr. Paganini founded a collective of artists and this experience led to the creation of the urban orchestra ‘Paganini Caravan’. He is a songwriter with a taste for the dark and grotesque as much as the theatrical. His compositions include picking guitar, gravelly vocals, and musical inspiration ranging from mad cabarets to the soft-spoken folk and dark poetry. His repertoire evokes the sound and the atmospheres of the Americana tradition, from the Denver sound to the Early Jazz. 
Mr P. embodies the spirit of Beat poetry through his gritty, jazz-infused musical style, evocative lyrics about outcasts and carnivalesque characters. His shows are made of spoken-word performances, improvisational, and darkly humorous storytelling, with a unique blend of blues, jazz, and theatrical performance art. At the same time his work can be totally considered connected to the Italian and French songwriting music tradition.

THE PAGANINI CARAVAN

Combining musical influences from around the world, The Paganini Caravan is an eclectic band of patchanka based in Rome. It was founded in 2023 by the songwriter Mr Paganini from the experience of an independent collective of artists and musicians. 

The band claims an energetic fusion of styles such as gutter-jazz, gipsy ska-punk-world’n’roll, reggae, ska, songwriting, ragtime, vaudeville, traditional folk and latin music blending the old with the new in all its music. The Paganini Caravan captures the spirit of traditional jazz, jug bands, and early rhythm and blues, injecting moody, bluesy, and distinctly New Orleans-style jazz blues and early jazz into an underground mood to forge a distinctive urban sound. Featuring a great deal of sing-along chorus chants, melodic improvisation and long rhythmic breaks the band finds its own dimension during live performances.
The powerful raspy voice of Mr Paganini, the honky-tonk tone of the gritty piano and trumpet or trombone, the energy of their performances, the carnival and 1930s-era-cabaret mood of the shows, all together forming a keenly individual musical universe.
